Vegan and Organic Pancake Mixes
Our Organic Maple Pancake Mix is available! Handcrafted here in Vermont, we use King Arthur Flour organic flour made of a blend of wheat grains and Organic Vermont Maple sugar. We do not add any salt, so our mix is lower in sodium and also is lower in sugars than many pancake and waffle mixes. Packaged in a recyled chipboard container to avoid bag rips and spills, we also offer this Pancake & Waffle mix with small tins of freshly packed fruit including wild Maine blueberries, cranberries and oranges, or apples. Child approved and tested, the adults appreciate the wholesome goodness of Hillside Lane's newest product which can be made dairy free or vegan for memorable breakfasts with the homemade taste. Cathy Bacon, President of Hillside Lane Farm, passed the torch in August after serving as President or Vice President for the Vermont Specialty Food Association Board of Directors for the past six years. "I worked hard to establish channels of communication with state representatives and association groups in Vermont. I recently participated on a Vermont State Task Force to develop strategic strategies and measures to promote and support the Vermont food industry. As the leader of the new Specialty Food & Products division for Black River Produce, a Springfield, Vermont based regional distribution company I joined in February 2008, I can now provide greater benefit to the network of fellow Vermont foodies. We have developed and continue to grow wholesale opportunities throughout throughout Vermont and the greater New England area.

For a Brilliant Brew: Begin with fresh water. Bring to a rolling boil and remove kettle from heat. Swirl a bit in your teapot (or cup) to warm. Toss in 1 teaspoon of tea leaves per cup and pour the hot water over the leaves. Cover and infuse. Strain into a warm cup.
